Community Guidelines
Last updated 9 Oct 2026
Chutky works because people help each other honestly. These guidelines keep it useful, kind and trustworthy.
Be helpful
- Answer the question that was asked. Share what you actually know or experienced.
- Say how you know: "I did this in 2024", "I work as a recruiter", "according to the official site…".
- Add sources when you state facts, especially dates, fees, eligibility and rules.
Be respectful
- No harassment, hate speech, threats or personal attacks.
- Disagree with ideas, not people.
- Respect privacy. Never post someone's phone number, address or private details.
Be honest
- No spam, self-promotion without disclosure, or affiliate links pretending to be advice.
- No fake reviews, vote manipulation or multiple accounts.
- Don't present AI-generated text as your personal experience.
- Don't pretend to be a doctor, lawyer, official or other expert. Only Chutky can give the Verified Expert badge.
Be safe
- No scams, fake job offers or requests for money.
- Health, legal and financial answers should encourage people to consult a professional for their specific situation.
- If someone may be in danger, encourage them to contact local emergency services (112 in India).
Reporting
See something that breaks these guidelines? Use Report. A report never removes anything or punishes anyone by itself: a moderator reviews it and decides. You'll get a note when your report has been reviewed; the other person never learns who reported them.
If a moderator removes your post, you'll be told why. Confirmed violations can cost Chutky Points and lead to a warning. After repeated violations, your new posts are checked by a moderator before they appear, and serious or continued abuse can lead to suspension or a permanent ban.
Thank you for helping make Chutky a place people can trust.
